Gary's Bio PicExperienced founder of Kayye Consulting, a technology consulting company and rAVe [Publications], a publishing and digital communications company with more than 23 years of experience in technology sales and marketing. Recognized as InfoComm’s Educator of the Year in 2004 and NSCA’s Instructor of the Year in 2007, I founded rAVe, after having spent 11 years at Extron and AMX as VP of Sales and Marketing and then as Chief Visionary of Kayye Consulting, Inc.

I served on the InfoComm Board of Governors, as the chairman of the Projection Shoot‐out, InfoComm’s Professional Education and Training Committee and NSCA’s Industry Advisory Board.  am often the keynote speaker at business and industry conferences because of my marketing and branding expertise. I’ve built brand campaigns for more than a dozen companies in the technology industry, clients have included Crestron, Hewlett Packard, Steelcase, NEC, Da‐Lite, Epson, Apple, Scientific Atlanta, Cisco, JBL, Crown and Harman and have served as an expert witness for a branding case.

Recognized as a social media and new media technology expert, I developed a website, the rAVe Social Media Blueprint, that thousands of technology professionals and integrators utilize to define their social media marketing strategy. In addition, I have consulted with hundreds of companies on their new media and social media strategies over the past ten years. And, in 2014, I was named to the list of the Top 100 People in the Triangle You Should Connect With.

A graduate of the UNC School of Media and Journalism, I’m an adjunct faculty member at my alma mater where I teach a class about new media and its effect on the future of advertising, marketing and PR and as well as a class on personal and professional branding. However, the most rewarding title I hold is co-founder of the Swim for Smiles Foundation – a non-profit that raises money for N.C. Children’s Hospital through youth events like a kids triathlon.
